RightIndem appoints Amanda Blanc as Chair of Board of Directors
RightIndem - a leading insurtech investee company of Symvan's EIS technology fund - announces that Amanda Blanc has joined its board as non-executive Chair.
Amanda has been brought on board to help the digital claims provider deliver on its ambition to fundamentally change the way customers experience insurance at the point of claim.
As one of Europe’s most prominent insurance executives, Amanda was most recently the Chief Executive of Zurich Insurance Group EMEA and former Chair of the Association of British Insurers (ABI). Prior to that she was the Group CEO of AXA UK, and she has recently been appointed as a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Governance Committee at Aviva Plc.
Amanda said the main attraction of working with the innovative tech firm was the potential to finally crack the perennial problem of disjointed claims service experiences.
She said: “I have had the privilege of meeting many great insurtechs as I pulled together my portfolio over the last few months. In RightIndem I found a really special team with an elegant software solution that can be easily adopted by insurance claims providers. Bringing new thinking into the industry is something I have been advocating for some time and I look forward to helping RightIndem in their efforts to do just that.”
Since 2016, London-based RightIndem has been putting the customer in control of their insurance claims through its AI-driven, self-service software claims ecosystem, that easily and quickly integrates into existing provider systems. RightIndem manages thousands of claims across motor, home and marine helping insurers and their service providers deliver the digital claims experience their customers expect, while at the same time reducing the cost of claims.
In December 2018 RightIndem completed the acquisition of Buying Butler, which was the first portfolio investment that Symvan made in 2014.
